Franken Me up

Hey Ladies! Sorry for my lack of posting recently! My finace and I took my daughter to Disney World for her 5th Birthday! Anyways today I have one of my many frankens. This polish is made completely from scratch. I took a clear base and added blue pigment for the base color. I then added blue and silver micro-glitter, small aqua, and orange hex glitter.
Below is 2 coats
2 Coats
The base was failrly thin, and not as "goopy" as other polishes I've made.
Flash
On my index and ring finger I applied 1 coat of Revlon Royal and topped with one Coat of my Franken.
On my middle and pinkie fingers I applied one coat of Finger Paints Tiffany Imposter, then 1 coat of my Franken.
So I named this Franken "Bitchface" in Honor of my numero uno "Bish" Ryan.
That's all for today Ladies!
Have you tried to make your own Franken or polish? Any success?

Another Indie polish!

Hey Ladies, and Gents? So I'm pretty sure I'm not alone in my Etsy stalking! Today I have another Indie Polish! This Polish is from Polished Perfection.

This as you can see is Night Owl. It's a purty Purple Jelly filled with awesome Blue and Purple
Diamond Glitter,Silver Square Glitter, Silver square glitter and Purple Bar Glitter.
The formula was surprisingly easy to apply and the glitter went on smoothly.
All of these pictures are 2 coats
Once again I am fascianted with yet another Indie Polish
Polished Perfection has this in stock and a few others. I also purchasedased  Peek-A-Boo which I will have on later this week! If you like to check out her store you can click HERE.

Goodnight Ladies!

Simple and Chic Rhinestone Mani

Good Evening Ladies! Tonight I have a pretty quick, pic heavy post. I just wanted to share how I take a simple mani and make it chic. With rhinestones of course!

Below is Orly Au Champagne 2 coats
2 Coats with flash
I added small black rhinestones at thw base of each nail.
Perfectly elegant mani. That only took a few minutes. I have tools for picking up rhinestones and fimo, but i stick with a good old toothpick. Au champagne is gorg and has a great shimmer to it. It was opaque in 2 coats.
Next I have Zoya Erika. This is 3 coats.
Erika is a super pretty creme-ish pink with a slight duo-chrome
effect giving a pink to gold look.
I added Pink Teardrop Rhinestones at the base of each nail.
It doesn't take much to take your mani to another level.
I buy all my rhinestones on Amazon.com. They are far too expensive at Sally's, and I can ususally find a good deal for a large amount and variety.

Anyways, that's all for tonight. Thanks for reading ladies!
XoXo

Happy Hump Day!

Good evening Ladies! Tonight I have 2 Mani's. I usually do 2 Mani's a night, one for blogging, and another to wear to work the following day.

Below is 2  coats of ChG Secret Peri-Wink-le. I sponged on Zoya Trixie at the tips. Then topped of with SV.
Too much flash. FML
Sadly after I took these pictures I went to fold laundry and jacked up my whole left hand. So the only LOGICAL(if you're a polish whore lol) idea I could come up with was to remove, and do another Mani!
Below is Finger Paints Tiffany Imposter! I frackin looove this Polish. Anything remotely close to Tiffany Blue makes me want thickin my eyebrows, don a little black dress and smoke from one of those fancy cigarette holder thingy's!
I used 2 coats of Finger Paints Tiffany Imposter, and with a toothpick applied teardrop rhinestones at the base of my nail.
Then topped off with a coat of SV. This mani did last through the next load of laundry. :)
I know I own ChG For Audrey, but can't find that bad boy anywhere! If you own both, what do you think? Is one more true Tiffany than the other??

Daring Digits Dirt and Grass Block

Hey Ladies! This is just a quick post today. I have Daring Digits  Dirt and Grass Block. I loved the idea of the Brown Jelly-ish Base filled with different sized Green Hex glitter!!! Brown is not always a color you think "I must have", but I assure you this one is awesome!

I can't for the life of me remeber what this polish retailed for. I think it's safe to say that I purchased it for between $8-$10.
Flash :(

LOOOOOVVEE this combo!
Daring Digits nail polish can be purchased HERE. Her shop is currently closed, but keep an eye out!

CultNails & Essie!!!

Good Evening Ladies! Tonight I have a Nautical? Inspired mani, at least thats how it turned out.
I spent the last few hours foolin' around with some striping tape and after a few failures I came up with this. I have been eyeballin Essie's Turquoise &Caicos for a while but was hesistant to buy because from the bottle it resembles sooo many other polishes I own. Well today I broke down and bought it. And it is fabulous!
I paired CultNails Times Traveler with Essie's Turquoise & Caiscos, and topped it off with Pure Ice Don't You Wish.

Elvis' Pink Cadillac

This is Swing. Swing is a freakin awesome red jelly (that would be ahhmazing even on it's own),filled with black and white micro hex glitter and larger white and black hex glitter. The glitter took a little more fishing than I thought it would since it seemed to be suspended pretty well in the bottle, but it had also been sitting in my mailbox all day! lol Either way it's gorgeous, this is 2 coats and no topcoat.
Swing 2 coats

Lawdy Lawdy! This my friends is Jawbreaker!!! This is a super duper light pink jelly filled with blue and yellow and red and itty bitty teeny tiny purple glitter, and oh I could go on and on with the awesomeness that is Jawbreaker! If you don't own this at least treat yourself to a mini bottle, and give it a try.
2 Coats, no Topcoat
If you love what you see, and how could you not!!! You can go click Here to purchase these bad boys! They aren't always available, so keep an eye out or follow her on Twitter for store updates. You can find her @PrettynPolish. Do it! Do it I say!

Cuticle cream

Cuticle Cream! So very important whether you push your cuticles or cut them back. Here are the ones I can't live without.

Below is Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle cream. It smells fantastic! I use this religiously throughout the day. I work in Health Care and constantly have to wash my hands with harsh soaps and Hand Sanitizers which dry my cuticles out like crazy. This "cream" is more like a balm and not greasy at all. It retails for about $5.99 at your local Pharmacy.
Here is Heel to Toe, I happened upon this in the check out at Sally's! While this isn't for cuticles I found that my feet have never felt softer since I started using this. I got this for $1.29 for 17.5g
Christian Dior Abricot Cuticle Cream. This stuff is the shiiiit! This is a true creme and it's super thick. Definitely a night time cuticle creme. The scent isn't strong and I find it smells more like rosewater than Apricot, which is great since I loathe the smell of apricot. This 0.35oz tub retails for about $24 at any Macy's or Sephora.
What are your favorite cuticle cremes, oils or balms?

Spring Nails

Hey Ladies. I've been slackin on the blog front, so I decided to show you guys my last few Spring Mani's. I LOVE Spring. I live in South Florida and we dont have a change of Seasons but in the Spring, you can just feel it in the air. I can't stand chocolate, but I love the pastels, and they are Everywhere this time of year!

This is Revlon Pink Lingerie and Sally Hansen Hard Lemonade I topped the mani off with
Pure Ice Don't You Wish for some shimmery sparkle!
Without Flash
OK, so these are 2 of the China Glaze Lacquers from the Prismatic Collection.
I bought 4 in total and regret it. Below is Optical Illusion, and on my ring finger is
Prism. I am NOT in love with these. Im very familiar with refraction. And refraction of light is supposed to be beautiful and these did not scream Prismatic.
With Flash
Oh LAWD do I adore this color! Below is China Glaze Secret Peri-Wink-Le.
This is the most acurate Perwinkle polish I own or have even seen swatched to date.
With Flash
With Flash
I topped this mani off with China Glaze Luxe and Lush from the
Hunger Games/Capitol Collection. I am one of those people
that just cant leave well enough alone. I don't love this combo together.
The Luxe and Lush didnt compliment the Perwinkle as well
as it does so many other polish's.

Ok so those are my last few spring mani's! If you'd like to see some other awesome Mani's and Nail Art click Here to see MyNailsMyPolish, andHere, for Alaina at The Little Canvas these lovely Ladies do some great stuff.

Happy Easter!
